Why we built Pathfinder
Why we built Pathfinder
Electrifying freight is no longer only a future ambition. For many carriers, fleet operators and logistic service providers, it is becoming a real planning challenge. But the questions are still difficult to answer: Which routes are suitable for electric trucks? Where can charging work? What happens to cost, lead time and CO₂? And how do you build a business case that customers, finance teams and operations can all trust?
We saw that many teams were still trying to answer these questions with spreadsheets, standard route planners or one-off reports. That made electrification planning slower, harder to keep current and more difficult to communicate and act on.
Pathfinder was built to change that. Helping transport companies understand where electric trucks work operationally and commercially, giving teams clearer information to plan routes, evaluate investments and repsond confidently when customers ask for electric transport.

Our philosophy
Our philosophy
We believe electrification planning should be practical — not theoretical. Visual — not buried in spreadsheets. And data-driven — so decisions reflect the routes, costs, charging conditions and operational realities companies actully face.
Our aim is simple: turn complex transports questions into clear, practical answers that help teams make better decisions about electric freight.

Our team brings together experience in electrification, logistics operations, software development, data, transport economics, carbon accounting and customer needs.
That mix matters. Electric freight is not only a technical challenge — it is also operational, financial and commercial. We work across those perspectives to build a platform that supports real transport decisions.

“Having worked at the intersection of heavy-duty transport and electrification, I saw how hard it was for transport teams to understand where electric trucks truly work. Pathfinder was born to make that evaluation faster, clearer, and grounded in real transport data."

Built on real logistics experience
Pathfinder is developed by LOTS Group, a logistics services company owned by Scania. That background gives the Pathfinder team practical insight into trucks, transport operations, electrification projects and the challenges companies face when turning electric freight plans into real operations.
