Pathfinder at Smart Freight Week 2026: AI, electrification and practical planning
Pathfinder joined Smart Freight Week 2026 in Amsterdam to meet logistics professionals, technology providers and industry partners working to accelerate the shift to more sustainable freight.

Across the event, one theme was clear: the transition to cleaner freight is moving from ambition to implementation. For many logistics teams, the key question is no longer whether electrification will play a role, but where it can work, how to plan for it, and how to make confident decisions in complex transport networks.
That is where Pathfinder’s work is focused.
Electrification is not only a vehicle or infrastructure question. It is an operational planning challenge. Companies need to understand which routes are suitable for electric trucks, where charging may be needed, how costs compare, and how different transport options affect CO₂ emissions, lead times and day-to-day feasibility.
At Smart Freight Week, Pathfinder presented at the Tool Fair and joined discussions with industry peers about how data, planning tools and new technology can support this transition. Our team also contributed to a panel conversation on AI in logistics, sharing perspectives on how emerging technologies can support better decision-making when applied in practical, operational contexts.
But the broader takeaway from the week went beyond AI. Sustainable freight requires actionable insight, collaboration and tools that help companies turn strategy into concrete transport decisions.
For Pathfinder, Smart Freight Week confirmed what we work with every day: logistics teams need practical ways to evaluate electrification opportunities, compare scenarios and move forward with confidence.
The transition will require collaboration across the freight ecosystem. Shippers, carriers, technology providers, infrastructure partners and industry initiatives all have a role to play. Pathfinder’s role is to help make that collaboration more actionable by giving logistics teams the data-driven planning support they need to identify where change is possible and how to take the next step.
Thank you to Smart Freight Centre for bringing together an important conversation — and to everyone who visited our booth, joined the sessions and shared perspectives during the week.
